I set out to read 60 books in 2022. I read over 226 books. Here's how I did it.
Set a goal. I started with 15 then progressively moved to 25, 30, 35, 50, 60 title per year. Each year I exceeded the goal, so I increased for the following year. I track my books on Goodreads annual Reading Challenge
Make a list of to-read titles that interest you. Some of the subjects I enjoy are history, technology, self-help, business, autobiography, thriller/mystery, western, classical. I make a point of changing the subjects - I like the variation. If you need some ideas, GoodReads has many lists to get you started.
Choose multiple formats that suit you. I use a combination of physical, digital, and audible. I'm not a purist and use the many formats available based on lifestyle, needs, preference. Apps I use are Libby, Librivox, Audible, Kindle. I have a Kindle Oasis for ebooks.
Have fun! Reading can be one of the most rewarding things we do. Learning, engaging, and thinking are all part of a healthy lifestyle and feed our natural curiosity. A mindset of continuous learning is rewarding.
